Dulbecco’s Phosphate-Buffered Saline (DPBS - with Potassium chloride and without Calcium and Magnesium) is a balanced salt solution and common buffer that is specifically tailored for cell culture and is often used for washing cells before dissociation, transporting cells or tissues, diluting cells for counting etc. DPBS differs from PBS in that it also includes potassium chloride.
